Wouldn’t it be magical to capture your child’s
dreams & imagination forever?
Perhaps we’ll include the family pet, it might be a unique session for each child or one incorporating them all. There may be underpants worn on the outside. It could involve a lot of cardboard, fabric or empty toilet rolls. Your jewellery box may be plundered. And perhaps we’ll get wet. We might take the photo in your backyard, the park, the bath, their bedroom, the studio, beach or river . . . or we might even create new land.
Create an image unlike any family portrait seen before. The main focus will be creating a single gorgeous hero image. Once we have captured your image, we will wave our magic Lilypad photoshop wand over the image for that extra special finish. A personal timeless piece of art. Whilst the main aim of this session is our hero image, around 15 to 20 additional images will be captured through the session to support and enhance our hero shot.

Together, we’ll bring their imagination to life
My daughter/son/baby/husband is full of “character” and I’m worried we won’t get any nice shots.
Nothing could be further from the truth. It’s the “character” kids that often produce the best shots . . . I've been photographing kids for over 10 years and have become quite the kid wrangling expert. Some kids are harder to capture than others, but my sleeves are really long and full of tricks to get the best out of your little ones. Your job is to relax, smile, and leave the kids to me.
How early do I need to book to secure my preferred date?
It depends. To ensure a high level of customer service, I only book a limited number of sessions each week. During popular dates I can be booked out six weeks in advance, while other times I can be available that weekend, so If you have a specific time in mind, it’s best to contact me as soon as possible. If you’re expecting, please contact me as early in your pregnancy as possible. Although I schedule your newborn session by due date, I will fit you in before your baby is two weeks old, no matter when he or she arrives.
My baby has a mark/rash/scratch/bruise. Should I wait to have portraits taken?
Definitely not. It’s much more important to capture your baby at the right age than to wait for the perfect conditions. Each image from your session includes custom finishing and retouching. Any marks, rashes, or scratches can be easily removed afterward . . . unless, of course, you'd prefer us not to. Those tiny imperfections often help capture their personality.
I don't want our images used online or in social media, is this OK?
Absolutely. I'm here to capture your family, for you. While I love sharing images I love, what is most important, is that you love, keep and cherish your family portraits.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
For sure. Gift vouchers begin at $200.
Do you do gift registries?
Absolutely. If you’re having a baby shower, birthday, or any other event, you can set up a personal gift registry. You’ll be provided with custom cards to include with your invitations, and your friends can contribute any amount. You’ll be presented with a beautifully packaged final voucher suitable to be opened at the event, or any other specified time.
How much will it cost for our portraits?
That depends on your individual needs and wants. Rest assured, there is never any high-pressure sales tactics. You’ll purchase only what you want. You will be provided with a full and complete price list before you book your session, so there are no surprises. Check out our pricing and products page for a really good guide to costs.
Do you sell digital files?
All of my session types include options to purchase high-resolution digital images. A complimentary low resolution, watermarked image is provided for every shot ordered in print. While it can often seem easier to go the "I'll just get all the files" option, chances are life is going to get in the way and in a few years, those images will still be stuck on your computer, in a draw or even worse, lost!! The most popular option today is a mix, selecting the perfect wall art or album for your home and adding on a digital file pack for smaller gift prints and safekeeping.
What is your cancellation policy?
Session costs are non-refundable, but may be transferred to a different date. Children get sick and unforeseen issues arise, if you need to reschedule, get in touch as soon as you can so we are able to slot another family into your place. Reschedules within 3 days of the session may incur a $50 rebooking fee.
Do you have payment plans?
Absolutely! I understand that good family photography is an investment and sometimes the right time for photos doesn't come at the most financially convenient time. I have several payment options available to help you spread the cost and am very excited to announce our new partnership with payright, enabling you to enjoy your images now and spread the payments over time. With no interest ever.
Want to know more about how it works?
We’ll chat. Simple. Cookie-cutter sessions won’t work. The sessions are designed to reflect you and your family. Prior to your session, we’ll chat about ideas. Yours. Mine. Locations. Activities. And the people you love. As a professional photographer, I can plan everything for you, with your input. Or, you can tell me exactly what you want. We’ll talk about locations, outfits and what to bring & expect on the day. I’ll explain exactly what you need to do to prepare. A photography session shouldn’t be a chore. It shouldn’t be a hassle. It should be fun & memorable.
The session experience
Your session might be fun and adventurous. Or quiet and reflective. Or even a little (or a lot) bit crazy. It should reflect you and your children. We’ll work together to capture real moments that show your family as they really are. Beautiful. Messy. Silly. Contemplative. Every child is unique. And so is your session. Your session has a plan, but your children, location, and weather take the lead. The day may unfold in ways we didn’t consider…and that can lead to magic. Your children will be encouraged to run, laugh, sing, dance, blow bubbles, tickle. To be the kids that they are. Bring along special items – a cherished stuffed animal, a favourite toy, anything! – to help tell the story of your family. There’s no pressure to sit quietly with a fake smile. Those amazing photos that capture a child’s personality – gorgeous smiles, bright eyes – are always achieved through play and natural interaction. That’s what we’ll do. The result? Stunning images that tell the story of your family and what you mean to each other. Your Family. Forever.
In two to three weeks time, your images will be ready. For the signature and newborn sessions, we’ll schedule a design and ordering consultation, at your convenience, for you to consider your options. You’ll be able to see your images in finished sizes, try different combinations and layouts, examine framing and presentation choices. Everything you need to decide how best to present the photos. A full slideshow will be available online a few days before this session, allowing you to view and review each image in preparation for your consultation. Each image can further be uploaded to a private and secure online cart for seven days, allowing friends and family to view and order their own prints. For your simplicity session, you can also opt for an ordering consultation, or the online cart. No matter which session you choose, or how you want to purchase, there will never be any high pressure sales tactics at work. You buy only want you want, and how you want it. My goal is your total satisfaction. Beautiful photos that truly reflect your family. Only the prints and presentation that you want. If you feel comfortable recommending me to your friends and family, and if you return when you’re ready for new portraits, then I’ve done my job.
